Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and initiator of the International Dialogue for Environmental Action (IDEA) Public Union Leyla Aliyeva has met with the UNICEF Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia (ECA) Afshan Khan.

Axar.az informs that Leyla Aliyeva praised UNICEF's efforts to improve the situation of children all over the world and stressed that ensuring the well-being, health and education of children is the most valuable asset for our future. She noted that great progress has been made in this field in Azerbaijan in recent years. Aliyeva expressed confidence that the work in this area would continue and expand. Touching upon the importance of education and awareness of children in the field of environmental protection, Leyla Aliyeva provided detailed information on numerous projects implemented by IDEA Public Union in the last 6 years to increase the environmental awareness of children, as well as eco laboratories, camps, courses and publications.
