The Azerbaijani people, society unanimously support the candidacy of the country’s President Ilham Aliyev, chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade said.

Pashazade made the remarks in Baku Feb. 14 at a meeting of believers held in connection with the presidential election.

Pashazade added that during the years of Ilham Aliyev’s presidency, success was achieved in all spheres of the Azerbaijani economy.

Sheikhulislam stressed that both national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev created all conditions for believers in the country.

"Therefore, we, the believers, support the candidacy of President Aliyev," he said.

The 6th congress of the New Azerbaijan Party was held in the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku Feb. 8. The decision was made during the congress to nominate chairman of the party Ilham Aliyev as a presidential candidate. The decision was unanimously adopted.
