It’s been one hell of a week for KFC. While the chicken crisis is still not over, at least they’re starting to have some fun with it all.

Axar.az informs citing metro.co.uk.

The Colonel took out an entire page in today’s Metro to say sorry – and it was extremely foul-mouthed. A picture of an empty bargain bucket – *sigh* – sits on a familiar red background, but something is amiss with the logo. In what’s being described as a ‘masterclass in PR crisis management’, the ‘KFC’ logo is replaced with ‘FCK’.

It seems to have worked a treat on Twitter with fans calling it ‘bold’ and ‘perfectly pitched’. PR consultant Andrew Bloch tweeted: ‘KFC apologises with a full page ad in today’s Metro. A masterclass in PR crisis management.’ James Herry was in agreement: ‘Perfectly pitched apology ad from KFC.’ The advert read: ‘A chicken restaurant without any chicken. It’s not ideal.

‘Huge apologies to our customers, especially those who travelled out of their way to find we were closed. ‘And endless thanks to our KFC team members and our franchise partners for working tirelessly to improve the situation. ‘It’s been a hell of week, but we’re making progress, and every day more and more fresh chicken is being delivered to our restaurants. ‘Thank you for bearing with us.’ While we have you here, let us never forget.
