Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has congratulated Russian biathletes on winning gold medals at the IBU World Cup competitions in Germany’s Oberhof.

Axar.az reports citing TASS.

"I congratulate the Russian men’s and women’s teams on the brilliant performance at the World Cup competitions in Oberhof! Well done!," he wrote on his Twitter account on Sunday.

Russian biathletes Maxim Tsvetkov, Evgeniy Garanichex, Dmitry Malyshko and Alexander Loginov on Sunday won gold in men 4x7.5km relay competition at the IBU World Cup in Germany’s Oberhof. Evgeniya Pavlova, Margarita Vasileva, Larisa Kuklina and Ekaterina Yurlova-Percht grabbed gold in women 4x6 km relay competition.

Russian biathletes grabbed all the gold in men’s and women’s relay races in one World Cup event for the first time since 2006.

The next IBU World Cup event will take place in Germany’s Ruhpolding from January 16 to 20.
