The spread of the pandemic is increasing.

Axar.az informs that, the statement came from the head of the WHO Office in Azerbaijan, Hande Harmanci, at a briefing at the Operational Headquarters today.

"Although the rate of infection for the first 100,000 has been growing for two months, the pace has increased in recent days. Although the situation in Europe has improved, it is not encouraging globally. 21 percent of those infected worldwide are health workers," he said.

According to Harmanci, the WHO is testing 10 vaccines:

"A vaccine may be introduced soon."

Hande Harmanci added that the Health Solidarity project will be launched in the fight against COVID-19:

"This project will last for 2 years. During this period, we will support the provision of medical supplies to frontline medical workers and provide them with training."
