The establishment of the Joint Center means the arrival of the Turkish Armed Forces in the Karabakh region, in Azerbaijan. I think this can be considered a historic event and we are very pleased.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from President Ilham Aliyev at a press conference for local and foreign media.

The President noted that the establishment of the Turkish-Russian Joint Monitoring Center is a joint decision of the three countries. Armenia simply had to agree to this.

"Because when the November 10 statement was signed, Armenia was not in a position to protest. Armenia, as they say, was on its own. Therefore, if there was another political and military situation, Armenia would protest. However, he could not object to this, and we also said that this center is being established in Azerbaijan, what has Armenia got to do with this?” The President said.

Stressing that our cooperation will continue in various fields, including the military, the President said:

"Everyone knows that the Turkish Army is one of the strongest armies in the world, the second-largest army in NATO. We also intend to create a small model of the Turkish Army in Azerbaijan. Practical work has already begun in this area".
