Turkish company Chimtas will install the world's tallest flagpole in Baku.
Axar.az reports that the height of the pole will be 191 m. It will consist of 9 steel conical pipe segments with a diameter of 5.7 m to 2 m, weighing between 230 tons and 13 tons, and a rotating segment to be placed above the pole base.
The production of the flagpole, which began production in September 2021 and is equipped with internal parts, is expected to be transported by Chimtas across the Caspian Sea in April 2022.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan Flag Square was established on September 1, 2010. At that time, the height of the flagpole was 162 m. Until May 2011, this flagpole was the tallest flagpole in the world.
Later, a 165-meter flagpole was built in Dushanbe.
