There are Russian peacekeepers in the territory of Karabakh, and this presence is planned to be maintained for another three years.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Russian political scientist Andrey Kortunov.

The expert said that according to the agreement, both sides of the conflict support Russia's military presence, and if Russian peacekeepers are forced to leave, then its influence in the region will decrease:

"Any negotiations regarding the extension of the stay of Russian peacekeepers in the territory of Karabakh will be difficult, and we cannot say in advance that this mandate will be extended. But peacekeepers must be in Karabakh for three years.
