Ambassadors of Iran and France to Armenia, Mehdi Subhani and Olivier Deccotin, met.

Axar.az reports that the Embassy of Iran in Armenia published information about this on the X social network.

It was reported that the ambassadors discussed the events in Armenia and the region.

Commenting on the meeting, political scientist Elkhan Sahinoglu noted that those who do not get along with each other on various issues and voice harsh criticisms against each other, when it comes to Azerbaijan's struggle against Armenian separatism, they unite against us:

"The meeting took place at the Iranian embassy. The two ambassadors discussed the situation in Armenia and the region. It is clear that the "situation in the region" refers to Azerbaijan's anti-terrorist measures in Karabakh. The ambassadors of these two countries will never meet to discuss Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine. Because France supports Ukraine, Iran supports Russia. In the South Caucasus, France and Iran support Armenia. That's why they come together to support Armenia. Iran and France are worried about Azerbaijan's growing role in the region. Because both of them understand that Azerbaijan, which has put an end to separatism in Karabakh, will always be ahead of Armenia, which they support. France and Iran want the opposite. However, the reality is different and Paris and Tehran will not be able to change this reality."
