We consider the meeting of the representatives of the residents of Armenian origin living in the Karabakh economic zone of Azerbaijan with the contact person in Yevlakh city as commendable.
Axar.az reports that Sabina Aliyeva, the Commissioner for Human Rights of Azerbaijan (Ombudsman), said this in her statement regarding the meeting held in Yevlakh with the contact person of the Armenian residents living in Karabakh.
According to him, in addition to ensuring the protection of the rights and freedoms of every citizen of Azerbaijan, which is a multicultural and tolerant state, regardless of nationality, religion, language, race, and other affiliation, including citizens of Armenian descent living in Karabakh, this right and pays special attention to the development of freedoms.
"As the Commissioner for Human Rights of Azerbaijan, I believe that such contacts will ultimately make an important contribution to the maintenance of peace and development in our region, to the more effective protection of the rights and freedoms of our Armenian citizens living in the Karabakh economic zone, and I highly appreciate it in terms of creating fertile conditions for coexistence in the future", - S. Aliyeva emphasized.
