AZAL and UAE delegation meet in Baku

On September 19, a two-day meeting began in Baku between representatives of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and a delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Axar.az informs that the press service of Azerbaijan Airlines stated that the purpose of the meeting is to share experiences gained during the organization of the COP28 event in Dubai and to expand cooperation in the civil aviation sector.

This exchange of experience is particularly significant ahead of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, which will be held in Baku.

Azerbaijan is represented by the leadership of Azerbaijan Airlines, while the UAE delegation includes representatives from the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), Dubai Airports, the business aviation and VIP services company "Jetex," and Dubai Air Navigation Services (DANS).

This meeting is regarded as an important milestone in strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UAE in sustainable development and climate change. One of the main topics of the event is to learn from the UAE’s advanced experiences in organizing large international events in preparation for COP29.

The interaction between representatives of the aviation industry of Azerbaijan and the UAE creates extensive opportunities for the exchange of advanced solutions and practices. The agenda includes discussions on logistics, flight safety, air traffic management, and increasing passenger satisfaction. Additionally, the application of digital technologies in aviation and enhancing the efficiency of airport management will also be focal points.
