Qarabag is set to bring back former striker Ovusu Kwabena, who recently left Hungary’s Ferencváros.
Axar.az informs, citing Transfermarkt, the Azerbaijani club has negotiated to sign the Ghanaian forward as a free agent after his departure in June 2023.
The talks, which began just a few days ago, have reportedly concluded successfully. Kwabena is expected to sign a two-year deal with Qarabag.
Kwabena previously played for Qarabag from 2020 to 2023. Transfermarkt currently values him at €400,000. Last season, he was on loan at Turkey’s Ankaragücü, scoring 9 goals in 16 appearances.
Qarabag will meet Ferencváros in the UEFA Champions League playoff round, with the first leg on August 19 in Budapest and the return leg on August 27 in Baku.
