Women’s football transfer record broken by Lizbet Ovalle

Mexican footballer Lizbet Ovalle has transferred from the local club Tigres to the U.S. team Orlando Pride.

Axar.az reports that the announcement was made by the American club’s press service.

The transfer fee amounted to $1.5 million, making it the most expensive transfer in women’s football history. The previous record was set in July when Canadian player Olivia Smith moved from Liverpool to Arsenal for $1.3 million.
