Former UFC champion Conor McGregor announced on his Instagram page that he intends to run for the presidency of Ireland.

Axar.az reports that McGregor appealed to the Irish.

"If I become president, I will not sign any bill until it is first submitted to public debate! If you want to see my name on the ballot, I urge you to contact your local legislators today and ask them to nominate me," McGregor said.

Billionaire Elon Musk has supported the athlete.

The presidential election in Ireland is scheduled for November 11, 2025.

McGregor announced his intention to participate in the elections to be held in November in March 2025. He is known in Ireland as a staunch opponent of migrants.
