Azerbaijan U-16 beats Tajikistan in CIS Games opener

The Azerbaijan U-16 national football team played its first match in the 3rd CIS Games hosted in our country.

Axar.az reports that in Group A, the U-16 team faced their peers from Tajikistan.

Before the match, the memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for the liberation of our lands was honored with a minute of silence.

The game, held at the Gabala City Stadium, ended with a 1:0 victory for our team. Nihat Huseynzade scored the winning goal in the 29th minute.

It should be noted that the national team will play its next group match against Kyrgyzstan on October 1.
