Argentine striker Lionel Messi has agreed to all the terms of a new contract with Inter Miami.

In July, journalist Javi Campos said that Messi intends to extend his contract with the club until the end of 2028, as he wants to play in the next World Cup (2026) and the Copa America (2028).

The 38-year-old Messi has played for Inter Miami since 2023. Messi has played for Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain during his career. The Argentine has won eight Ballon d'Or awards. With the Argentine national team, he won the 2022 World Cup, the 2021 and 2024 Copa America, the 2022 Finalissima, and the 2008 Olympic Games.
