Azerbaijani wrestler wins World Championship gold

Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Ziya Babashov won the U-23 World Championship held in Novi Sad, Serbia.

Axar.az reports that our representative, competing in the 63 kg weight category, defeated Moldovan Vitali Yeryomenko 6:3 in the decisive round and won the gold medal.

It should be noted that our other Greco-Roman wrestler, Elmir Aliyev (55 kg) reached the final.
