Araz-Nakhchivan has announced that it has parted ways with head coach Elmar Bakhshiyev.

Axar.az reports the decision was made following a board meeting where the club’s performance up to the winter break was reviewed. The results were deemed unsatisfactory, leading to the mutual termination of Bakhshiyev’s contract.

Bakhshiyev was thanked for his services during a meeting with the club, and the contract, initially set to run until the end of the season, was ended by mutual agreement.

Bakhshiyev was appointed head coach of Araz-Nakhchivan in April 2024. Under his leadership, the team finished third in the 2024–2025 Misli Premier League season and participated in the UEFA Conference League.
