Reports have emerged that Qarabag have resumed talks with Akademiko Viseu forward Andre Clovis.
Axar.az reports that according to information circulating on social media, the Azerbaijani champions are very close to reaching an agreement with the Brazilian player, who currently plays in Portugal’s second division.
It is claimed that this time the negotiations were initiated by the “samba player” himself. The 27-year-old South American is said to have agreed to make concessions on financial terms in order to sign a contract with the “Kohlen atlar”.
Clovis, who has previously played for Internacional, Portimonense, Leixões, and Estoril, is reportedly pressuring Akademiko Viseu’s management to allow his move to Azerbaijan.
This comes despite the fact that his current contract runs until June 30, 2028. The Brazilian is therefore trying to reduce the amount of compensation demanded.
According to reports, the Portuguese club has set a €5 million price tag for Clovis, while the compensation Qarabag plans to pay is three times lower. Azerbaijan’s Champions League representative is reportedly ready to spend at most €1.5 million, but no more.
