Ronaldo wins court case against Juventus

Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo of Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr has won a court case against Juventus over unpaid wages.

Axar.az reports, citing La Gazzetta dello Sport, that a court in Turin has rejected Juventus’ appeal against a ruling ordering the club to pay Ronaldo €9.7 million.

The lawsuit stemmed from a secret agreement that allowed the club to defer part of the Portuguese striker’s salary during the coronavirus pandemic. Under this agreement, Juventus owed Ronaldo €9.8 million. Although the player initially demanded nearly double that amount—€19.9 million—the arbitration court partially upheld his claim in 2024.
