Qarabag to face Newcastle in Champions League playoff

Qarabag’s opponent in the UEFA Champions League playoff round has been confirmed.

Axar.az reports that the club from Agdam will face England’s Newcastle United at this stage.

The playoff ties are scheduled for February 17–18 and 24–25, with Qarabag hosting the first leg in Baku before traveling for the return match.

It is also noted that the winner of the Qarabag–Newcastle tie will face either Barcelona, who finished fifth in the league phase, or sixth-placed Chelsea in the round of 16.
