Swiss skier von Allmen wins Olympic downhill gold - Video

Swiss alpine skier Franyo von Allmen won the gold medal in the downhill event at the Olympic Games held in Bormio, Italy.

Axar.az reports, citing TASS, that the winner posted a time of 1 minute 51.61 seconds.

Italian Giovanni Franzoni took second place, while fellow Italian Dominik Paris finished third.

The 24-year-old von Allmen became a double world champion in 2025, winning both the downhill and team combined events at that tournament.

It should be noted that athletes are competing for the first set of medals at the Olympics in Italy. The Games will conclude on February 22, with a total of 116 medal sets to be contested.
