Formula 1 in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia set to be cancelled

The Formula 1 Grand Prix races scheduled to take place in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are set to be canceled due to security concerns amid the war in the Middle East.

Axar.az reports, citing Sky News, that the races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia were supposed to be the fourth and fifth Grands Prix of the season.

The Bahrain race was planned for April 12, while the Saudi Arabian race was scheduled for April 19.

Bahrain has hosted Formula races since 2004, while Saudi Arabia has been hosting them since 2021.

It should be noted that the 17th race of the Formula 1 season — the Azerbaijan Grand Prix — will be held on September 24–26 at the Baku City Circuit.
