AFFA fined Turan Tovuz 20,000 AZN

The Disciplinary Committee of AFFA has fined the Azerbaijan's “Turan Tovuz” club 20,000 AZN.

Axar.az repоrts that the decision was made at the committee’s latest meeting.

The Tovuz-based club was fined 5,000 AZN after fans directed mass abusive language toward referees during the first leg of the Azerbaijan Cup semifinal match between Turan Tovuz and Zire.

Additionally, the club was fined 15,000 AZN because its chairman, Ehtiram Guliyev, made statements that deliberately undermined the reputation and credibility of AFFA and its bodies.

On April 3, 2026, in the first leg of the Azerbaijan Cup semifinal, four players from Zire received yellow cards, and the club was fined 700 AZN in accordance with Article 43.1.
