Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese forward of Saudi Arabia’s “Al-Nassr”, refused to take part in the post-match trophy ceremony after the AFC Champions League Two final defeat.
Axar.az reports, citing Goal, that the Saudi club lost the final to Japan’s “Gamba Osaka”.
The match, held at the “Kingdom Arena” in Riyadh, ended 0–1. The only goal of the game was scored by Denis Hümmet in the 30th minute. Ronaldo started the match but failed to score.
Following the final whistle, Ronaldo reportedly left the pitch and headed straight down the tunnel, while his teammates remained on the field to receive their runner-up medals and acknowledge their second-place finish.
