Imishli FC continues its search for a foreign head coach ahead of the new season.

Axar.az reports that the club made offers to Spanish coach Pol Planas and Ukrainian coach Yuriy Kalitvintsev.

However, both candidates declined the proposal. Planas, who works at the FC Barcelona academy and guided the club’s U-19 team to the Spanish championship last season, said that leaving the country was not the right decision due to his father’s health.

The reason behind Kalitvintsev’s rejection remains unclear.

According to the report, Imishli’s shortlist still includes another Spanish coach and a Croatian candidate, with the Spanish option currently appearing more likely.
