PSG and Morocco full-back Achraf Hakimi has become the most decorated African player in football history after winning the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.

Axar.az reports that the latest triumph took Hakimi's career trophy haul to 19, surpassing the previous African record of 18 titles held by former Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed remarkable success with Paris Saint-Germain, winning five Ligue 1 titles, two French Cups, three French Super Cups, two UEFA Champions League trophies and one UEFA Super Cup.

Hakimi has also added silverware during his spells with Real Madrid CF, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan, cementing his place among Africa's most successful footballers.
