Tunisia appoints Herve Renard as head coach

Tunisia, which is competing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, has appointed a new head coach.

Axar.az reports, citing the Tunisian Football Federation, that the team has been handed to French coach Herve Renard.

He replaces Sabri Lamouchi, who was dismissed immediately after Tunisia’s 1–5 defeat to Sweden in their opening World Cup group match.

Renard has previously coached Saudi Arabia and the France women’s national team.

It should be noted that Tunisia, which is in Group F, will play its next match against Japan on June 21.
