The flag bearers of Azerbaijan have been determined at the opening ceremony of the Summer Paralympic Games to be held in Paris, the capital of France.

Axar.az reports that Togrul Rahimov, general secretary of the National Paralympic Committee, informed about this.

According to him, para-taekwondo player Imamaddin Khalilov and para-athlete Lamiya Valiyeva will carry the flags at the event.

The official of the committee pointed out that the athletes always feel cared for:

"Last year, the President of Azerbaijan appointed a scholarship for Paralympic champions. We are waiting for the Paralympics ahead. We will be represented by 19 athletes in 7 sports."

It should be noted that the Paris-2024 Summer Paralympic Games will be held from August 28 to September 8.
