Azerbaijan sends 40 players to the Chess Championship

Azerbaijani chess players will participate in the European championship among children and teenagers, which will be held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.

Axar.az reports that the Azerbaijan Chess Federation said that last year's European champions Rustam Rustamov, Mehriban Ahmadli, Muhammad Kazimzade, bronze medalist Saadat Bashirli, as well as Pasham Alizade, Lala Huseynova, Shiroglan Talibov, Tunar Davudov, Zahra Allahverdi, Ahmed Huseynov and others will try their hand. Azerbaijan will be represented in the prestigious competition by a total of 40 intellectuals.

At the tournament, chess players from more than 40 countries will compete for medals in categories from 8 to 18 years old.

The European Championship, which will start on August 22, will end on the 31st of the month.
