Azerbaijani wrestler wins bronze medal

Azerbaijani wrestler Amrah Amrahov (48 kg) won a bronze medal at the ongoing U-17 World Championship in Amman, Jordan.

Axar.az reports that our representative beat Ukrainian Bogdan Makarovets 3:1 in the 1/8 finals and started the competition with victory.

However, he lost the chance to win a gold medal by losing to Iranian Armin Shamsipourhaci (0:8) in the 1/4 finals.

In the consolation match, Amrahov did not give any chance to Bulgarian Kaloyan Ivanova (9:0) and won the right to participate in the match for the bronze medal. At this stage, our wrestler beat Kazakhstan's Yedige Toleutayev with a score of 3:1 and became the third in the world.
