Sabir Zeynalov makes Azerbaijani Paralympic history

Para-taekwondo athlete Sabir Zeynalov has made history in Azerbaijani Paralympic history.

Axar.az is provided this information by the Taekwondo Federation. The 19-year-old athlete competing in the 58 kg weight class achieved this by reaching the podium at the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympics.

Competing in the K44 category, Zeynalov finished the Paralympics with a bronze medal. Prior to this, no Azerbaijani para-taekwondo athlete had distinguished themselves in the largest competition of the quadrennium. S. Zeynalov is the first to win a medal at these games.

It should be noted that three para-taekwondo athletes are representing Azerbaijan in the French capital. The Paris 2024 Summer Paralympics will conclude on September 8.
