Our wrestler reaches the World Championship finals

Azerbaijani wrestler Joju Samadov (87 kg) reached the finals of the ongoing U-20 World Championship in Pontevedra, Spain.

Axar.az informs that he qualified for the decisive stage by winning over Serbian Andriya Mikhalovich in the 1/8 finals, Ruben Gevorgyan from Armenia in the 1/4 finals, and Temirlan Turdakin from Kazakhstan in the semi-finals.

Samadov's opponent in the final will be Kyrgyz Asan Janishov.

Among our other wrestlers, Rahim Hasanov (55 kg), Muhammad Shukurzade (63 kg), and Mazaim Mardanov (130 kg) will compete for the bronze medal.

It should be noted that the matches for the medal will be held tomorrow.
