Azerbaijan co-host 2026 women’s volleyball championship

Our country will host the European women's volleyball championship in 2026.

Axar.az reports that the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) has released information about this.

Azerbaijan will organize this continental championship together with Turkiye, Czech Republic and Sweden. The games of one group will be played in each country, and the playoffs and final matches will be held in Turkiye.

A total of 24 teams will participate in the final stage of the European Championship, and the names of 12 teams are already known. In addition to the host countries, Serbia, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, France, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Slovakia, which performed successfully in the last tournament, also won the right to participate in the final stage.

It should be noted that the names of the other 12 teams will be announced in August next year.
