Azerbaijan skips Wrestling Championship in Armenia

Azerbaijan is not participating in the World Wrestling Championship among military personnel being held in Armenia.

Axar.az reports that this was announced by Colonel Arman Davtyan, head of the Physical Education and Sports Service of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, during a press conference today.

He stated, “Invitations to events organized by the International Military Sports Council are sent by the council, not the host country. The Azerbaijani national team did not submit an application and has not come to Armenia.”

The World Military Wrestling Championship is scheduled to take place from November 18 to 24.
