Toyota to replace engines in 100,000 vehicles

"Toyota" will replace engines in 100,000 Tundra pickups and Lexus vehicles.

Axar.az reports that "Motortrend.com" has published this information.

Due to this manufacturing defect, the replacement of so many engines will be quite costly for the company.

Safety issues have emerged, as "Toyota" discovered a defect in their two turbocharged V-6 engines earlier this year. These engines were installed in Tundra pickups produced from November 2021 to February 2023 and in Lexus vehicles produced from July 2021 to November 2022.

Recall notices for "Toyota" dealers indicate that this problem could cause the engine to stop unexpectedly.

“There is a possibility that some processing debris was not removed from the engine during manufacturing. In these vehicles, this could lead to engine noise, issues with normal engine operation, difficulty starting the engine, or a loss of towing capability. A loss of towing capability at high speeds could increase the risk of accidents,” the notice states.
