OnSeptember 14, 2025, the Kirishi oil refinery (KINEF) in Russia's Leningrad region came under a drone attack.

Axar.az informs, citing RBC-Ukraine, this information shared by the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi.

According to preliminary information, the attack triggered explosions on the refinery's territory, which caused a large-scale fire.

Kirishsky Oil Refinery (KNPP), owned by Surgutneftegaz, is one of the largest in Russia, with an annual capacity of over 20 million tons of crude oil, producing high-octane gasoline and other fuels.
