Snowstorm "Francis" has intensified in Moscow.

Axar.az informs that Russian media have reported on this.

According to the report, heavy snow has paralyzed traffic on some sections of the Moscow Ring Road:

"Traffic jams are getting worse, and drivers are having to turn around and return via the opposite lane. Even snowplows cannot clear the snowdrifts. Yards are covered in snow, and ambulances are stuck in traffic jams. Forecasters say that the Balkan cyclone will continue in the capital region until the morning of January 10. The snow thickness will increase by 1.5-2.5 cm every three hours. The most snow in the Moscow region fell last night in Kashira (25-30 cm). Despite the storm, the capital's airports are operating, albeit with delays."
