The inauguration confetti may have been swept up, but as business begins in earnest for the 45th President of the United States, the events of last Friday are still making headlines.

It may have been reality TV star and 'Leader of the Free World' Donald's day , but another man in his entourage also caught the public's eye.

It was the unusual gait and stiff posture of one the bodyguards walking behind Trump and his First Lady which stood out for viewers and social media users alike.

His arms seemingly immobile throughout the procession, speculation was soon rife that he was using FAKE arms to free up his actual ones - which were poised and trigger-ready around a concealed weapon.

After all, it's accepted that the security detail of VIPs will have a firearm concealed about their person.

Then there is the appearance of the bodyguard and his arms to consider.

Viewers noted his arms did not move at all on the 2.5 mile walk.

One YouTuber said, "That is a prosthetic arm, tucked in his coat, that agent is carrying a long gun under his coat, and he is right handed.

"He is holding his long gun, up close and under his right arm pit, prob a rifle SBR or sub machine gun."

With the rumours flying, news sites even reported on the bodyguard's alleged prosthetic arms.

But it's not true. You can tell by the way he blatantly moves his thumb.

The snappily-named Twitter account, God Guns Guts Glory, pointed out footage which roundly debunks the 'fake arms' theory.

Although the bodyguard seems to be a static sort of chap, his hands do obviously move and flex.

His arms did stay unusually still for a long time, but then again, he's a member of the secret service.

It's possible the agent could have let himself be weighed down by a heavy, sophisticated robotic arm while performing one of the most crucial tasks of his career.

But isn't it more likely that with the temperature dipping to a chilly 4 degrees centigrade...he simply had cold fingers?
