A special point about Slava Usebyan, an Armenian resident of Karabakh, who gave an interview to the Azerbaijani press while passing through the Lachin checkpoint the other day, drew attention.
Axar.az reports that Usebyan, who cited Mikhail Gorbachev as the reason for the enmity between the two nations in his statement the other day, told the Armenian press the complete opposite of these views a few days ago - about the struggle of "Artsakh" in Khankendi.
His thoughts to the Azerbaijani journalist the other day were approximately as follows:
"I lived in Khankendi and at the same time in Baku. I graduated from high school in your capital, Baku. I was staying in the "Montin" settlement in Baku. I have exchanged bread and butter with Azerbaijanis, we had very good human relations. God bless, there will be kindness again. I left Khankendi, leaving my two houses. I worked as a deputy chief in the fire protection department. I always kept my photos with my friends in Baku. The Armenian side thinks that I was detained here. But I'm transitioning very comfortably without any pressure."
In an interview given to the Armenian press on September 7, he expressed the struggle of "Artsakh" in Khankendi with these words:
"We, the people of Artsakh, are resilient and courageous. We must endure, we must resist everything. Heroes of Artsakh, remember how our grandfathers lived. They were like us, their lives are similar to ours, but they won, and we will win."
