The Russian military launched missile and drone strikes on Kyiv during the night.

Axar.az informs that the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, reported the attack.

He initially stated that 6 people were killed and over 50 residents were injured as a result of the strikes.

The Sviatoshynskyi and Solomianskyi districts were reported as the most heavily affected areas.

Later, the death toll increased following the airstrikes on the Ukrainian capital.

In a new statement, Tkachenko confirmed that 8 people had died and 124 were injured in the attack.

“Among the dead is one child, and 10 children are among the wounded. All those injured are receiving the necessary medical care. Rescue operations are ongoing,” he said.
