Tajikistan delivers protest note to Russian ambassador

The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Tajikistan, Semyon Grigoryev, has been summoned to the Tajik Foreign Ministry in connection with a tragic incident motivated by ethnic hatred against a Tajik citizen, 10-year-old Kobiljon (Qobiljon) Aliyev, a fourth-grade student at a school in the Moscow region.

Axar.az informs the ambassador was handed a diplomatic note demanding an immediate, objective, and impartial investigation by the Russian authorities, as well as full accountability for all those responsible in accordance with the law.

The attack occurred at the school on December 16, 2025. The minor Tajik citizen died at the scene, and several others were injured.
