83 people were killed during the US operation to capture former Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.

Axar.az reports that this was reported by Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez.

"Civilians and other people were killed during the operations. 32 Cuban citizens were also killed. In total, 83 people were killed, and more than 112 were injured. 47 of the dead were military personnel," the minister said.

It should be noted that on January 3, the US carried out a large-scale military operation in Venezuela. During the operation, President Nicolas Maduro was taken to the United States with his wife, Cilia Flores.
