Russia may open a checkpoint for citizens in Ukraine

A checkpoint may be established at the border for the return of Russians remaining in Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that this proposal was made by Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova.

She said that some of the country's citizens cannot leave Ukraine because their foreign passports have expired:

"We should discuss the opening of a single checkpoint for Russian citizens who want to visit their family and friends, but no longer have documents to legally cross other countries."
