Russian general hospitalized after being shot

An assassination attempt was carried out against Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseyev of the Russian Ministry of Defense in northwestern Moscow.

Axar.az informs according to investigators, on February 6, 2026, an unidentified individual opened fire several times at a man inside a residential building on Volokolamsk Highway in Moscow before fleeing the scene.

“The victim was hospitalized at one of the city’s hospitals,” Petrenko said.

Investigators and forensic experts from the Moscow Investigative Committee are working at the scene.
