Taiwan reports spike in Chinese air patrols

Taiwan's defense ministry reported detecting 26 Chinese military aircraft in the Taiwan Strait over the past 24 hours.

Axar.az reports, citing Reuters, the last large-scale sighting was on February 25, when 30 aircraft were observed during what Beijing described as another "joint combat readiness patrol."

Between February 27 and March 7, Taiwan reported no Chinese military aircraft, spotting only two near its far southwest on March 7. Since then, only sporadic, small-scale incidents have been recorded.
