Zelensky: Ukraine proposes energy truce to Russia

If Russia is willing to stop its attacks on Ukraine’s energy sector, Ukraine is ready to respond in kind.

Axar.az reports, citing Ukrinform, that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made the remarks in an evening video address while discussing Russia’s recent attacks.

“Everything the Russians can earn from shock oil prices, they will spend on the war. This priority of theirs has not changed yet. Therefore, every restriction we impose on their ability to export oil is the right move. If Russia is ready to stop attacks on our energy sector, we will be ready to respond in kind,” Zelensky said.

It is noted that Ukraine has conveyed this proposal to Russia via the Americans. Ukraine had also proposed a ceasefire for the Easter holiday.
