Armenia-Kazakhstan expand bilateral cooperation

The developments in the region are having a positive impact on cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan.

Axar.az reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made this statement during a meeting in Yerevan with Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev.

"High-level bilateral reciprocal visits stimulate the development of multifaceted cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan. The developments in the region also positively affect cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan, especially as the railway connection established through Azerbaijan, Russia, and Georgia gives new impetus to the expansion of trade and economic relations," the Prime Minister said.

Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister expressed confidence that the established railway connection would significantly expand bilateral trade and economic relations.

In addition, Y. Kosherbayev emphasized the importance of unblocking regional communication routes and confirmed Kazakhstan’s support for TRIPP (“Tramp route”), saying: "Kazakhstan is also interested in the implementation of this project and in expanding regional trade and economic relations."

Pashinyan and Kosherbayev also discussed the development of cooperation in infrastructure, construction, agriculture, technology, aviation, and tourism. In this context, they noted the importance of launching direct flights between Armenia and Kazakhstan in the near future.
