Kurultai deputies back Bektenov as Kazakhstan’s PM

Deputies of the Kurultai have supported the candidacy of Olzhas Bektenov for the position of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.

Axar.az reports, citing Qazinform News Agency, that earlier, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev put forward the candidacy of Olzhas Bektenov for the position of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.

137 deputies voted in favor of his appointment.

It should be noted that the Kazakh government had resigned following the parliamentary elections.
