Pakistan’s armed forces have thwarted an attempted Taliban attack in the Gulistan area near the border with Afghanistan.

Axar.az reports, citing Reuters, that several Afghan Taliban members were killed, according to Pakistani security sources, without detailing the planned ​attack.

On September 23, Pakistan said Afghan drones had violated its airspace, describing the incident as a violation of its sovereignty and an act of aggression. In response, Pakistani forces carried out strikes on 10 sites in Afghanistan used to launch and store the drones.

The strikes killed 28 militants.

Kabul, meanwhile, reported that three civilians were killed in the attacks.
